About Us

We’re an independent cooperage in Girvan founded by two friends who served a seven year apprenticeship to become time-served coopers, working with William Grants and Sons Distillers before starting out on our own 15 years ago. Using traditional methods of coopering combined with a modern CNC router and laser engraver we’ve been developing a range of unique and beautiful products based on the humble whisky barrel.

We still make new barrels for whisky distilleries and real ale breweries as well as bespoke pieces; from engraved bottles in custom gift boxes to boat wheelhouses. We can do one-offs or larger quantities for promotional campaigns. Customers include Arran Brewery, Jamieson’s, Innis and Gunn, Jack Daniels, Sol Beer and Britvic.

Our planters are all made to order, so you can be sure that they’re not mass produced or bought in, and our bird feeders bring together our traditional coopering skills with the technology afforded by our CNC router which allows us to imagine and precision cut unique and elegant designs.

Our flagship product is the barrel greenhouse is a great example of this, designed and produced only by us and sold on our own site and through a few carefully selected partners. It’s been featured regularly on the Beechgrove Garden, where they use it in their herb garden and is a favourite of Jim McCall, while Pippa Greenwood of Radio 4’s Gardener’s Question Time grows her aubergines in one!

For our trade customers we offer pallet deals on our planters and bird feeders, or direct delivery options. Go to our Trade page to request a catalogue and see our latest offers.

I am delighted with product – the quality, value for money and free postage. Great business – prompt, delivering quality product. Thank you.

If you thought you didn’t have space for a greenhouse, think again this is a real greenhouse that will grace even the smallest garden. It features recycled materials so is even good for the planet. I highly recommend it to everyone.
